Transportation IT

The transportation IT is a much diversified speciality. Without any pretension to completeness, following are a few of its typical areas of focus:

• Development and operation of transportation information systems

• Application of telecommunication techniques and technologies in transportation

• Development and introduction of intelligent transportation systems

• Development of intermodal transportation systems

During execution of transportation tasks, the challenge is to resolve the movement of objects on the transportation network (lines), from given locations to given locations (this being a simplified statement). Toolkits employed by GIS provide an effective assistance in both graphical and real life manipulation of these objects. In Hungary, our company was among the first to offer transportation IT solutions, for more than one sector, as well (b2b, b2g, b2c).
